optimal settings for boost controller

does anybody now what the optimal setting for a electronic boost controller are for our turbo\engine combination?

meaning at what steady boost is the car running its best, i guess what i am trying to say is that i think with the stock turbo at one point more boost is doing nothing other than maybe damage.

if what work has been done to the car to effects boost settings, then i have a 3" turbo back, walbro fuel pump, 660 injectors and hoping to install hks evc V this weekend (and then off to turbotrix) if i can find what settings to set it at.

ex. 19 psi to redline
20 psi to redline

thanks for any help on this.

I have a greddy EBC (sorry, I know it's not the same) and I've got it set to where it peaks around 21.5 and settles at 20.5 out to redline. Depending on the conditions (weather/gear/load) it can be slightly higher or lower. This should be safe for the stock turbo on 93 octane...

thanks for the info, and i am not looking for settings only for evc, looking for general settings of all electronic controllers. just trying to figure out where our cars are safe and strong. not too much boost and not too little.
