Clutch Extender Rod - Lancer EVO 8

Does anybody have this in their car and should I install one on my car when I change the stock clutch to exedy twin plates clutch?

I have a buddy with a Cusco Twin Disc. It made it worse. Stock rod is back in. A properly installed twin disk feels no different than stock.
