Zeitronic A/F Meter

What do you guys think about that. Saw it in someones Sig. And looking into getting one so I can learn to tune my car now.

Seems pretty good, anyone use it, heard of it?

Seems only downside which isn't really one, is it isn't in a gauge pod.

Any feedback would be nice. Would like to get one soon as I fix my car, still not sure if it is my TC or Halfshaft...

It's good, it works. One of the things I like most about it is that it isnt in a gauge pod. I find gauge pods to be a distraction. By being a flat panel it gives you many more mounting options. I have a spot of it to velcro it on while tuning andf toss it in the glove box the rest of the time to keep the cops happy and the honda boyze confused. Your car cant be fast with out a a-pillar pod right? It is fairly idiot proof the way it is designed. I dont think it really has any competition for the features and the price. He has sold over 500 of them. He has been a So Cal DSM guy for 8 years and helps out the local guys all the time. He made it for people like you.

I use it and think it is great... i plug it into the laptop so that i can datalog as well. If you get the optional sensors... EGT/Boost... you can datalog them as well as your AF, TPS, and RPM. Using these readings you can basically zone right in on the spots you want in your map and adjust it perfectly. Great product for the best price i've seen bar none!

Yup, very happy with mine. RRE and "Z" himself were super helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I have an AEM, but I do not have the UEGO. WOuld this be a good option for me? Should I go w/AEM wideband? I like the digital display for this unit. Any thoughts?

I am in the same boat, have the AEM EMS, but don't know if the Uego is the best way to go.

you can go with this and it has an output setup to connect to the aem. It basically takes place of the stock o2 sensor for fuel adjustment.

I have the UTEC, so could I just connect it into the UTEC or even just my laptop to get readings without the digital display?

I would like the display but maybe just get that later on, cause with the display it is about the same price as the AEM. About 50 bucks cheaper.

I have it with the LCD display and EGT and boost. It’s awesome. The only thing I would recommend getting with it is the harness extension so you can do all the splicing and cutting out side the car and not upside down. It has a 02 simulator that works as long as you have the wideband 02 sensor connected, so you can replace a factory sensor and get no CEL. I put the LCD display in the compartment above the ash tray and below the A/C controls, it fits perfectly with no Velcro/tape, I will post a picture of it later. The only problem that I can see is that the 02 sensor wears out after 30,000 miles and the boots gauge only reads up to 24 psi, which could cause a problem if you plan on running higher boost. It’s cheap and it works very well. You will need to buy all the hoses and connectors if you plan on getting the boost option. And no, I don't work for these guys.

I do as well, with wideband datalogging in my engine management software. It's great. Some more installation pictures (this is in a 2G DSM, but should apply regarding dash mounting) of my semi-low key installation:

Newer page with newer, more in focus pictures:

Older page with a quicktime video of the LCD display in action (only the EGT sensor was hooked up and functional at this time):

That's a nice package. Myself, I've had good luck with the Innovative Motorsport LM-1.

It's amazing how much information a wideband will tell you about how your car is running and why it is running well or poorly. Personally I'm finding that some of my missing and "rough" spots are caused by transient lean conditions. I suspect they are caused by my open filter. My wide band helped me find these spots.

i bought mine and i plan to have RRE install it as well, great air/fuel gauge . The zt-2 package with the LCD display unit its nice, all you need its the egt probe from zeitronix and you can hook up your egt's.
The main reason i bought it for road tuning the car and knowing how the car is running.

the AEM air/fuel gauge is nice but its limited to air/fuel readings, the Zt-2 works great with the EMS.
