I am from Trinidad in the Caribbean and I have an evo 7.
I wanted to know if there are any companies that I can send my gearbox to, so that they can re-build it for drag racing. Like with different ratios that can improve quarter mile performance. I can send my gearbox to them.

Also are there any companies that do porting and polishing? Who would you guys recommend? I can send my head over to them.

and whats the avg price on these modifications?

www.shepracing.com for the gearbox. Cant get any better for the tranny then them.

For porting and polishing AMS does it, or talk to Darkhorse he is the man!!!

For the tranny i called and it was going to be around 1000 for a complete rebuild with all his parts put inside which is not bad at all. For different gear ratios im not sure you will have to call and ask.

As for the head you can get upwards of 6K into your head depending on how crazy you want to go with it. I got lucky and knew a guy that builds the drag bike engines so he ported and polished along with pocket ported and installed 1mm over valves with a 3 angle valve job for $300...HAHA.. dont expect to find another deal like that. We traded some work ontop of it. Anyway when i was looking for somone to do my head i talked to darkhorse and if you dont know him from these forums get ahold of him!!!! he does awsome work!!!! We talked for about 30-45mins about all the different things that we could do to the head. After adding up everything he could do we were way up in the 6K range.
