GSC 272/264's installed
Guys,
Just had the cams installed today. All I can say is wow! I sent the ECU back to Turbo Trix for a mail in flash. The car has a nice loppy idle (No Stalling). This is without cams gears also. Sounds like my old 68 camero. I noticed a huge increase in mid and top end power. The car is so much smoother. The car feels like a new animal. I would recommend these to anyone looking into cams. Also I would recommend Turbo Trix after my tird time using them to tune my car. Prop's to GSC for making a great cam. |
Did you have aftermarket cams before these? If so, what duration were they, and how does the 272/264 combo compare in the low to mid range?
Any noticable difference in spool-up time? |

Out of curiosity what swayed you to go with the 272/264 combo?

Gotchya, that seems pretty fair.....the place where im getting my cams installed are DSM specialists, so im sure it will probably take them the same amount of time or less. Thanks for the info!

Cool,
Thanks for the clarification. I want more mid range than top end as well since it is a daily driver. |
So basically the straight 272 i/e is gonna have all top-end? I've heard guys who have better results with the straight 272s, especially if the got cam gears. Logic Performance recommended straight 272s, and my car is a daily driver as well. Im not knocking the 272/264 combo, im merely trying to clarify a little bit. Thanks!

Get on a dyno and let us know how the results vary. I'm interested in this setup as well.

A little off topic but 250 for cam installs! That is a great price. I live in live in Michigan and everyone near here wants 500 for the install.
