Buschur's Alky kit? Help W/Install
 

Ok well I just purchased a used Buschur alky kit form a evom member, I recieved it today but it has no install instruction's. I have heard it's an easy install, but I want to make sure I do it right. If anyone know's of any write-ups or where I could get some instruction's today I would appreciate it. I have searched with no luck, and buschur is closed today. Thanks in advance. {thumbup}

Thank you for the link.. My kit is a litlle newer, and slightly different. Doe anyone have a picture showing how they tapped into the intercooler pipe? I'm not sure exactley how the new kit installs into my pipe?

Just some advice I had much better luck putting the rubber washer on the outside of the pipe with a rubber o-ring. Pressure tested up to 45psi with no leak. Putting the washer with the rubber on the inside scared me and always leaded air after 15psi or so regardess of what I did. Just keep it in mind if you run into the same problem.

If you do this be sure that on the inside of the pipe the top of the drilled hole is smoot otherwise it could cut into the jet.

I like them to spray upwards, basically for the reason of no gravity pulling the fluid out of the lines during vacume when the throttle body is opening up (even if you have a check valve) and for the fact of just keeping the likes fully primed. No chance of air getting into them.

Just my opinion.

In the DIY posted it does not explain where to splice the wires from the control unit in? Can anyone explain where the 4 wires need to go? thanks

the 4 wires from the smc controller unit attach to the 4 wires that come off of the alky resevoir, just match the colors up and you're all set. BTW I found it alot easier to drill a whole in the firewall near the throttle cable pass thru. IMO easier than routing to the pass side then back to the drivers.

Oh - I installed my nozzle and pointing down and have had great results. Check out the dynoflash forum case study #100. BR stg 3 + methanol.

You also need to power the unit off one of fuse taps at the main fuse block.

the #7 fuse (windshield wipers) is the reccomended one.

how far from the tb do i want to drill for the feed line?

i just got one and any more feedback on nozzle thing?

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but does anyone know what size drill bit you need? Seems like an 11/64 will do the trick but not sure.

Another thing is with the rubber o-ring on the outside of the pipe, Im assuming that has to be methanol resistant.
