GT30R - Part II

Well, the time is getting near. 19 total weeks of downtime since February is about to come to an end. Things should be back to normal real soon. It's been a long bumpy ride, without the car. Some of you may know what I have gone though since this all started 10 months ago. Hopefully all that will be in the past. I'll update with pics like last time. Lets just hope this is the last time. I sure hope, I need to update my avatar. :D

When did you order your new kit from slickmotorsports? Good luck, you definitely deserve it!!

stvbreal Nov 28, 2005 01:59 PM

Ordered the kit about 3 months ago, but told him it's no big hurry.

As far as luck goes, we'll see. I'm sure things will be just fine. If not, hello Carrera 4.

Can't wait to see it done.

I basically dumped the whole old setup, BR DFMIC and UICP too. Getting it all redone.

yeah it will be well worth it.....like steve said he let matt take his time it normally wouldn't take this long...but either way it will be WELL worth the wait!

I never could understand why coaters take so damn long to coat a freeking manifold!!!!! 5 weeks and counting.

Yo Steve, been looking forward to this for a while now. Can't wait to see your new set-up and I'm sure you'll be happier with it. Good luck man!

You and I both. :D The only thing I hate is installing stuff when it's 20 degrees out. Time to break out the mega-heater. I'm pretty stoked though. I just can't believe that this all started in Feb 2004. Car never ran right, couldn't tune it correctly and something always went wrong. One year is a long time to work out the bugs, well almost a year. Pretty damn close anyways.

I'm going to call today and see whats up. If the mani isn't done yet I am going to request that the coating shop send it back to Slickmotorsports and just have the kit sent as it is. I'll get it coated here or just heat wrap it. This is getting rediculous. And for the record, it's not Slickmotorsports fault. It seems that most coaters are just slow as hell. Not quite sure why. In 5 weeks they could have coated 1 runner a week and finish off the flanges on week 5. :D

As of Friday the mani is done. Matt is waiting for the coaters to send it back. Hopefully I will be getting some if not all of the parts this week.
