20G-5 vs. 20G-6 wheels and compressor surge
The 20G-6 compressor wheel has been proven to surge in a stock Evo8 compressor housing at pump gas boost levels at WOT, but the 20G-5 (i.e., the FP White Rabbit) compressor wheel does not.
What does that indicate about the comparison between these two wheels? |

What does that indicate about the comparison between these two wheels? It does not seem to do that anymore, but I still get alot of part-throttle surging. Say you are accellerating to pass someone at part throttle - once it gets to a certain boost level (mid-teens) it starts surging/stuttering. Many hours have been spent trying to find a solution to this, to no avail. One person's comment - "It surges less than a GT35R - live with it . . . " EVOlutionary |
FYI, a 20G-5 is not a WR.

The compressor cover is different, the comp wheel is similar, if not the same.
