20 over bore
im bore out the block with 20 over wiseco pistons will the engine still be a 2.0 liter or bigger if so how much bigger does any body know???????????
|
If im not mistaken the .20 over pistons will make it a 2.1 if you need wiseco's let me know i have the hookup.

If your cylinder walls are not scared up i would just do the std bore piston. the more material you have on your cylinder walls the more protection you have.
|
.20 over makes you a 2.1 or close to that anyways. I have run 20 over with absolutely NO problems.

nice thanks guys.

the clynder walls were pretty scratched up and my 1 and 3 piston was cracked so i am going to go 20 over with wiseco pistons with buscher rods.i never been down this road any other suggestions?thanks guys

No way does it open up that much to get you 2.1L. The 2.1L is an 87mm bore. .020" over on the stock 2.0L is only 85.5mm The 2.1 also comes from a different block with a taller deck height.
Someone who is good with the automath handbook should be able to figure this out. Not me though....I dont have the formulas in front of me and have never researched this. edit.. I found an engine displacement calculator online. stock 85mm bore with 88mm stroke = 1997cc or 1.997L or 2.0L .020" 85.5mm bore with 88mm stroke = 2021cc or 2.021L or 2.0L (minimal gain) 2.1L 87mm bore with 88mm stroke = 2093cc or 2.093L or 2.1L |
