Gained 38.5 hp. and 55.7 lbs. of Torque from the stock cams to GSC S2's, on the stock turbo? Did I read that right?
|
damn ..
should i have gotten the s2's insead :/ didn't read the thread, how's the idle though? |
that's crazy, whats the gain from stock cams to S1's?
|
First of all the car made 426whp @ 1.7 bar on the stock turbo on a dastek dyno. That much HP with that little boost on a stock turbo car along with the fact that this is a dyno that isn't common in the US makes it certain that it is a high reading dyno which would also lead to higher gains from modification.
Given that, those numbers seem pretty on par with what S1's make. |
Post Dyno results soon! I can't wait to see it.
|
i thought those cams were for gt35rs and up, interesting thread or is their turbo bigguer than our usdm 9s?
|
just shows they aint for a GT35 and up:cool:

am i the only one tripping on how they type exactly how the talk?
I'm from london...it's just funny reading the thread. I thought for a second "tae" was an acronym for something to do with cars??...then I realized what they were saying...so i read it with a Scottish accent. Lol ...sorry I had to share back on topic |

Don't get too bogged down in trying to get a read on the dyno numbers. Look at the percent improvement instead.
Take the after whp figure and divide it by the baseline whp figure. That is 373whp / 328whp = 1.137. That equates to a 13.7% increase in peak power. I'd say those numbers however do seem in the ballpark of what I'd expect to see on a Dynojet. Not too shabby for just a cam change. |
dang!!! I've planning on going with the S1'S on an 05' turbo with upgraded O2 housing. Maybe S2"s?
