This is something that i want to know too...

From a small research i ve done around the intake cam makes the difference as the exhaust cam is the same with the M2...

However i am not sure if this extremely aggressive cam setup could actually benefit us with a stock head .

I would assume that these cams would shine on a fully ported head, and better intake manifold in order to utilise the crazy lift and duration...

I might chose to do the test in the summer well i will probably choose to upgrade my valvetrain and internals...

soon

Just installed them will being getting tuned tmw from jestr. So far the idle is alittle more erratic than the Gsc 280 I had in car since they first cam out. Will post tmw evenig with results, and now with a 5 spd it should be better, always had low numbers on dyno but on the street I was pulling away from the guys that put down 60-80 more on dyno that day at 100mph on.

sorry guys

Didnt get to get on dyno!! Got street tuned car pulls hard hitting 8000 in 1-4 very fast. Data log labs said about 412hp with 4 ppl in car. Idle is loppy now vaccum is bout 9.5-11.2. With a/c drops to 6-7 and my remote start won't work.. Takes car three starter cycles to start car. But it doesn't die at all a idle or on deceleration
gna try to get on dyno dynamics dyno later this week.

Very fun ride ;).... I'm thinking about getting them, but that 11.6 lift has me a little worried..... I don't know how much more power I will get out of .6 more lift, but it should be interesting...

i am also considering getting those cams to go along my HTA35R

hmmm...why are you worried about the lift LILRICO??

Billy@EnglishRacing Mar 9, 2008 10:28 PM

they seem like they would be nice on a bigger turbo such as a 37r or 40r im not sure i would want them on any turbo smaller then that

dxbevo9 Mar 9, 2008 11:09 PM

i once saw a dyno chart on this forum posted by a vendor comparing both the m2 and m3...where the M3's IIRC made a little bit better top end.

I really shouldn't be with the built head and having dual Ti vs and ret. but still that's a pretty high lift...

I felt the M3 on a 20G and I don't think it hurt power as a matter of fact it made power, tons of it. I use a 272 grind M2 Cossi on a 16G, so the M3 was a good comparison. The car pulls extremely hard very comparable to my 272, which is exactly what I was looking for. So now if someone can buy a M3 set, with stock turbo, I think for a IX, you can go with a big turbo and never have to worry about the cams again, but I don't know what the TQ curve will look like... I think I'll be going this route soon...

vivid racing posted up a dyno graph of both the m2 and m3 cams. it was on a stock turbo. i bought the m3 for my 9 but im just waiting till i get back to install them. i dont think i will see that much of its capable power untill i upgrade the turbo.

I've had these in for over a month... Kind of hard to tell the difference with my setup between the m2 and m3 since I changed other stuff... The idle was about the same maybe just a little more lopey.
