New Launching Aide Innovation

Working with Buschur Racing, George of ICS is pleased to introduce the

"Launching Aide"

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g3...8/IMGA0661.jpg

The way it works is it controls the clutch pedal engagement when you are starting from a stopped position. The way it does this is by using a fully adjustable valve to control the fluid flow under these condition.

The speed of engagement is controlled wither with an in cockpit adjustment knob

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g3...8/IMGA0663.jpg

Or by a under hood knob

You can either use a button to engage the system when you want to use it

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g3...8/IMGA0664.jpg

Or you can configure your AEM stand alone ecu to autmatically activate the Launch Aide when you are lacunhing the car.

The concept is to give you just the right balance of launch and smmothness every time you take off in first gear. This helps to maximize perfromance and minimize breaking of parts.

We will have videos of this working on cars shortly.

The unit is available through Buschur Racing or myself

So when the tree goes green I don't have to worry about accidentally lifting too quickly and letting the clutch bite too hard thus shocking the drivetrain to all hell and also burning tires?

So I just bring the revs into the computer and dip the clutch quickly and you get a smooth clutch release? Sounds cool.

Basically in 1st gear only the clutch movement is slowed to an adjusted controled rate to make a perfect launch every time.

How much for this?

Red Dragon Mar 12, 2008 10:59 PM

Wow amazing! You sould make a video of the launching aid in action!
How much is this going to cost? How hard is the install? Ever though of getting a smaller knob for that think. It sticks out like a sore thumb

I would definitelybe interested if it would help me launch...I have already replaced my transfer case and rebuilding my tranny at the time. Im kind of tired of buying drivetrain parts whe I can be buying power mods.

You can chose the blue inside knob which is harder to install but lets you adjust the actuation of the clucth engagement from your seat

The easier, simpler, direct way is to have the option to have the knob on the solinoid assembly directly which requires you to go under the hood to make the adjustments.

We will have videos of it in action tomorrow.

It's an interesting idea. Technically there is a rate at which we would like the clutch to be lifted. The right speed at which the clutch slips a bit, but also grabs enough to get the car moving rapidly. I don't know how well the idea of automating it can be executed. Time will tell.

well done on being innovative Al.....

may i ask whose idea was it and who put it out and produced it?

thats a cool design but do you think its taking too much away from driving? i mean isnt being a good driving being able to launch your car your self. im in no way saying im good at that but thats what separates me from the pros.

You just turn the toggle switch OFF when you want to launch it as stock

Switch the switch and you have a controlled perfect launch every time

It was created by a friend of David Buschur who works in the race car fabrication world

We are marketing it along with Buschur Racing
