What springs and retainers for gsc s2's?
Can anyone help me with what valve spring and retainers to get, and what head gasket. The cams are going to be gsc s2's on stock turbo, but a 35r or 37r is in the future. I dont want ti and want to stay around 250 for the springs and retainers. Preferably dual's. I am getting arp headstuds, and most likely a cometic headgasket unless someone says otherwise.

stick with OEM headgasket....and with s2, you might want to do singles and keep it under 8000-8500 rpm, anything higher and i would definitely go with duals.

Stock Headgasket
I have supertech dual valve springs and retainers with my S2's |
Any Plans for a built bottom end to get the most out of your future 35R or 37R?

No not right now. First is cams, then fmic kit, clutch and flywheel, mainly parts that will hold lots of power. Then that is when that stuff is going to be done. Staying 2.0 though.
I am set on arp headstuds, cometic or oem head gasket(idk yet) and gsc dual valve springs and Chro-Molly Retainers. Getting gsc's because the cams are gsc, should fit together perfectly |
OEM Headgaset, threre is a lot of threads with people having problems with cometic.

brian crower valve springs and retainers should be good for anything under 9000rpms; i don't think you'll be going that high anytime soon and they are within your budget range.

OEM headgasket....
that is what buschur and AMS use, and they run 40psi |
