can i get a T/S hta 3076?

if Fp don't sell it like that can i just buy a T/S hotside from garret and wack it on?

AFI Turbo Sep 24, 2009 01:01 PM

Yes...The hotside sizes are limited however .. .78ar is about all you can find and will fall off up top.

I don't have any new dyno's on an evo but heres a gt3076r (non HTA) with a .78 divided @ 16psi on a Honda S2000

i remember that T/S a/r's are not like single scroll.
i.e a .78 ts is more like a .86 single
i think i have that right?
so are you allowing for this with your estimate of choking?
i also wonder if it will make it surge as the hta is already a modest spooling turbo so with the added t/s could surge?

a .78 is more like a .63 single.

i have a t3 1.06 but there super mega rare. hehe. i run t4 now anyways.

but to answer your question. yes u can have a ts setup on the 3076. i had one.

so its the other way!
thx dan {thumbup}

i wonder why garrett chose not to make more A/r options in that T/S ?

right. in simple understandable terms. TS housings are so much bigger for a reason. imagine a .63 t3 twin scroll. take a reg t3 .63 and picture it divided. the ports would be much smaller. so they make TS housings bigger. ''.78 .83. 91. 1.00 1.06 1.15 1.32 and so on. a t3 1.06 is ''like'' a t3.82. i be leave the math came out to just shy of .90 but i forget.

follow me or did i just make you retarded? HAHA. i sometimes loose my self

they make a t4 1.06 for the 30r but there also very hard to find. but if i had to do a ts30r all over again i would do nothing less then a 1.06. but good luck finding one.

http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...egory_Code=GRT

ATP Turbo sells a 1.06 divided T4 for the 3076R. I've been looking at it for quite some time. Just haven't made the switch.

CO_VR4 Sep 24, 2009 01:27 PM

You might ask FP whether they can source you the TS housing when you buy the turbo, as then if there is any machining required on the hot side it can be done properly in house before it goes out...

So how can I get my hands on a TS t3 1.06 - have maxed out my T3 .78 not too keen to weld a T4 flange to my manifold as its coated...

?

thinking of just switching to single scroll HTA instead.

:)

Almost 500whp - impressive. The power is actually still rising at the end of the graph.
