Poor Man's pedal stop
First off, I wish I hadn't been so lazy and had done this sooner. The biggest problem I've had with the Quartermaster (other then the noise and harshness for street driving) is that the engagement is all the way at the top of the pedal stroke. Without a pedal stop, I was constantly guessing on when the clutch would grab, since there was about 1-1/2"-2" of worthless pedal travel.
With a pedal stop, I can already tell stalling the car taking off uphill is going to be much less of an issue. This is for the Quartermaster clutch with hydraulic throwout bearing. I figure there are already reasonably priced options out there, but I might as well put out the info for the cheap SOBs to keep you from going to the hardware store multiple times. (1) 7/16" ID bronze sleeve bushing, I used one that was 1" long. (1) 6mmx1.0mm coupling nut (a hex nut that is about 3/4" long) (1) 6mmx1.0mm hex nut (1) 6mmx1.0mm 30mm length socket head cap screw Pull the stock pedal stop off and thread on the nut and coupling nut on to the stud on the firewall. Use the hex nut to lock the coupling nut in place with about half of the threads still available to thread into on the coupling nut. Slide the bushing over the coupling nut and hex nut so it bottoms out against the firewall. The coupling nut should be slightly below the surface of the bushing so the bushing carries the load and not the nuts. Use a 3/8" drill bit and drill the front side of the stock pedal stop so the socket head will sit slightly below the surface. Place the stock pedal stop against the bushing and use the cap screw to tighten everything down. This could work as a solution for the exedy multiplate clutches having the TOB come off from putting the clutch down too far when shifting hard then right?

Nice man!..I also made my own..for the Quartermaster as well..Much easier take off and slamming through the gears is a breeze.
When i get into another Evo without a clutch stop..the pedal length is like woooow!! Super long |

Yeah, that was going to be the one I would have bought, but for $35 less and no shipping, I ended up with something that will work. :D

yeah i have a QM and mad e my own stop a fee months ago. i just usec a 3/4 nut with a 1in bolt that i found with a 1in round flat top.

AMS sells a "gas pedal stop" that threads into the spot for the stock plastic pedal stop. It works fine and it's like 10 bucks or so.
