Hey guys, just finished up my half size radiator install today...wanted to share the results...I bought an ebay civic radiator from DNA Motoring...if you have any negative comments, go ahead and KEEP THEM TO YOURSELVES. Im just posting here to show everyone that the hardware works.

Heres my stock setup (should be the same as everyone else)...

New VS Old...and YES it is from EBAY. Its for a 92-00 Civic. DNA Motoring. Cost about $65...
Attachment 283539

Heres what I ended up with...don't mind the coolant over flow line...thats being changed in the next set of pics...LOL

Heres the complete product...

The upper hose I bought at the local auto parts store...O'Reilly Auto...($10)
Used the stock lower hose (no modifications)...
Top bracket is a Torque Solutions Mount with OEM Insert from AWD Motorsports...($20)
The fan for the setup is from siliconeintakes.com ($30)

I filled it up and added a bottle of water wetter...
Drove it around all day and did plenty of WOT pulls, stop and go traffic in construction zones...NO overheating whatsoever. The temp needle never even gets to the half mark...

All done and for about $125...not bad at all.

Ill be back to post more results of this setup as I continue to drive it...I daily drive it all year round...so this radiator will be put to the test!

Holy crap...I'll edit the pic size shortly...sorry!

I have the same. Bought the ebay civic dual core half radiator with slim fan for around 85 shipped.

I've been daily driving for close to a month now without any issues. Also today I went to the drag strip did many passes back to back etc.. and temps never changed from what they always were OEM. Havent data logged, just from observing the water temp guage.

AWESOME! Im glad people arent afraid to try it!

looks good i may consider this, im looking for a radiator right now, all that add space is a plus too especially guys with t3 kits (like me) that have a very tight fitment with the oem

tim85851 Apr 13, 2012 05:59 AM

it definitely feels nice to have all that extra space...the day before yesterday I relocated my battery to my trunk and that free'd up A LOT of space in the engine bay too...next step is a custom UICP and then hopefully my t3 kit will be put together...Ill post a short thread on how I relocated my battery...

vinNybXx Apr 13, 2012 06:46 AM

also is the thickness the same as the oem radiator?

Looks great man. I've had good luck with DNA motoring for my Subaru (catless downpipe).

Now you just need an STM coolant overflow bottle :)
