Well I woke up and went outside today to find my car on blocks. I was extremely lucky though, they took both driver side tires and it looks like when they jacked it up the passenger side wheels shifted because they were loose and were pinned down so they didn't take them. They did not break into the car thank god. They damaged the side skirts with the jack , they left the jack, they tried to open the driver side door and left some smudges from the break dust, hopefully there will be some prints. Get your self some wheel locks!!!! I made out very well, thank god the wing and the intercooler are still there. Time to get silent pager alarm God I would have loved to have walked out there at the time.

Man that sux, I know how you fill. I was awake in my house watching a movie late one night with my girlfriend and someone broke into my civic I had. the rip the center of the dash up trying to get my cd player. and the opened my truck and stole all my cleaning supplies. the broke into every vehicle in my driveway. and was only lookin for stereo stuff. I wish my stupid dogs would have barked or something. you could fart loud and my dogs would bark normally. after that, I bought a ats 2 way pager alarm. and the seemed to solve the problem. or help prevent it. good luck on catching them.

Well the police came, no prints, said it looks like they used gloves because we found prints with no patterns(gloves). I put the word out and have alot of people in the local street scene keeping an eye out. What a wonderful day.

wow when my friend's car got stolen/totalled/returned to him by the same night/ppl, the cops said they couldn't take prints unless it was a murder scene.

 

bluebanana - might be a texas thing. i had my old car broken in at the dealership. they must of been caught in the act - left a backpack full of tools in the passenger seat. cops looked inside for an ID, then tossed it in the dumpster. I was absolutely dumbfounded when I seen that.

 

I had my car vandalized before. Now it sits in view of a surveillance camera on duty 24/7

 

Man, after reading this, when I get my Evo, I'm buying some trained attack dogs that will go for your throat if someone touches the car. Of course, I'll have to train them not to kill me or my family....

Well I filed the claim, it should be up in the area of $2000+ for the wheels, tires, new side skirts, painting. I am getting whell locks and an alarm with a pager ASAP. It will be silent so the won't know I am coming.

im in dallas area and when my friends car got broken into, cops did finger prints, i guess it just depends on the area.
