not here on Evom we don't use our real names... but in most AX groups they use your name, car number and then post your times. My groups posts lot sof pictures, too.
And I've not heard of any insurance requirements with the groups I've raced with... they say they carry an insurance for the event and that their insurance requires that every driver be currently licensed to operate a motor vehicle..... but your mileage may vary on that one

Listen the bottom line is that insurance companies don't want to get stuck with claims that happen on a road course for obvious reasons. But it's kinda hard to drag your mangled car onto the street and drop it there claiming a hit and run, LOL.
Anybody smell urban legend on this one? A buddy of a friend of a guy on the internet was contacted by an unknown insurance co?
