What would you do next?
What would you do next?
You have an '03 evo8. It's black. (Cuz that's important information, really)
You have:
I've been trawling forums for a while now, hoping something would become clear, but at this point I'm the victim of too much information. Since I have very little actual experience modding/tuning, it's very hard too see what should come next without wondering if I'm making an obvious bass-ackwards omission.
I know to start doing more exhaust stuff before I bother replacing the turbo, but as far as actual, fine grained questions like "this is the part of the exhaust you should start with", or "you gotta deal with the fuel computer before you bother with the exhaust" is the kind of advice I'm looking for.
Or, "it don't matter, just pick something that costs $500 and stick it in." I am so lost.

You have:
- A cat-delete pipe (err, hypothetically)
- A boostvalve.com MBC, dialed in to a nice max boost of 1.43 bar (20.74 psi)
- A Blitz Dual TT DC II turbo-timer
- Access to 91 oct gas, cuz you're in Colorado. Darnit.
- No luck in finding local tuner shops (suggestions for this are welcome!)
- $500.00 for the next mod

I already have a cat-delete (err, hypothetically), so not too worried about getting a hypothetical turbo-back. They're about double what I have to spend right now, though.
How much are the mail-in ecu flashes? Also, how long does it take? I assume I'm not going to be driving during that time...

Continue working on opening up the exhaust flow. Then focus on the intake side. Most intakes are gonna cost you $250-$350 and cat-back exhausts $400 to $900. Dont forget the downpipe and the O2 housing too.
Personally, I'd get an intake. You get a quicker spool, an intimidating sound, and the satisaction of more hp AND better fuel economy on that sh1ty 91oct **** gas.
