1/4 Mile time Q:

What is the average driver here running with a stock EVO. Also what does an EVO with Exhuast such as Buschur w/cat, Hallman pro, CAI, BOV, what do people with that set-up run in the 1/4?? Also, is there a main difference if yu just take off normally v.s. dropping the clutch at a certain RPM. How many times can yu actually drop the clutch untill yu'll need to replace a clutch?

13.4@102mph dead stock at two different tracks..... total clutch drops on my Evo is in the range of 30-40 with zero problems... have had the car for about 17 months...have 14k miles on it..... had some road course action, auto-x action and some drag racing..... my car is pretty tough!

I think most typical evo owners dont dump the clutch. They slip the clutch instead.I ran my evo stock and ran 13.5 at101.Now with exhaust and flash ive ran 13.01 at 106.hope that helps alittle.

Nice Scot. If you don't mind, share your secret in long clutch life. At what RPM do you drop your clutch? Any tips? Thanks.

Ummm... the Evo already comes with a CAI, and the ECU manages boost, so an ECU reflash usually involves a boost increase.

That is how my car is in its current state. Dynoflush for the reflash, Greddy type S recirculating, MBC, and a Buschur turbo back with no cat. I went 12.92 @ 108.35 with a 1.92 60' and it was about 95 degrees out here in south florida. I had the MBC set to spike 24psi and taper to 22. I had a little race gas in the mix to keep it safe. Better weather and a little better launch I see 12.6x-12.7x in the future.

there is alot of factors when asking others about their time slips. i was once mad about my times with all my mods, but was then given so advice. all tracks are different, weather, tires, drivers are all factors when tracking your car. my last run was 12.8 at 108. but im in the valley and it was about 80 degrees out. just go to the track with what mods you have now, then go back after a few hundred dollars. practice and keep improving you own time.

Well the exhuast and flash were on the car when I bought it but I would say it should cost less than $1500.

The biggest difference is elevation. Closer to Sea Level the faster you will run. LUCKY ME!!!
