All RS coming to California have air conditioning. Don't know about the rest of the US.

Why is the '05 RS up on weight? It should be lighter due to the aluminum roof.

I do mean the traditional heel-and-toeing, in which you used the ball of your foot on the brake, and the outside edge of your foot on the throttle. I have a tough time doing it with my size 9 shoe, even with a wide tennis shoe on. I had to get my foot kind of sideways to do it, which would get very uncomfortable after a whole day on the track. I will check out the Razo gas pedal extension. Where can I buy one?

They've all got it

I believe ACD adds more than the Al roof saves.

EDIT: curb weight for '05 RS is 3197 lbs.
EDIT: I believe the '04 is 3175 lbs.

For some good track pedals, check out this thread by evom sponsor.

These are made for the Evo. On my car I needed just a little help as far as the distance left/right, but more importantly, I needed my brake to be higher. These will allow you to fine tune the height relationship between the brake and gas making heel/toe second nature.

Ok, refer to the constantly changing post from before. As claimed my MMNA:

04: 3175 lbs
05: 3197 lbs

Screw the whole heel toe with our pedals.. just side step.. same difference. majority of your foot on the brake and bleep the gas with the right side.. then you dont have to place your foot in an awkward angle and such...... and when acclerating, you can tap the brake with your left foot to get good turn in.. but thats more aplicable to low-mid speed turns. versus the high speeds where it gets risky unless you know your car really well..

Try Quaife: http://www.quaife.co.uk/index2.htm

It may or may not work with the GSR's ABS system, and it certainly won't be cheap.

Also refer to previous thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=57870

the evo is setup for heel toe very well... side stepping the way g6 describes it almost defeats the purpose of a fast downshift with little balance upset. if you wanna see a car that you can't heel toe in drive a vw golf.

and i'd have to disagree with machron on trail braking. especially in tight corners on the street if you canyon or touge the lightness of the rear is preferred. you can always steer more with trail braking if done properly within the limits of the car's potential. on the other hand uncontrolable understeer will always send you into a ditch or other unfortunate situation.

ok, ok, I used to "sidestep" in my M until i changed the brake master cylinder to a larger diameter. This required MUCH more pressure on the brake pedal, and sidestepping was no longer feasible. So i got used to a real heel/toe setup. It didnt take long, and this transferred easily to the EVO. I nailed perfect downshifts on my testdrive.

(the larger b/m/cylinder allows the increased foot pressure to be distributed better to the 4 wheels. It was a great brake upgrade, keeping all else stock, and some awesome pads. It brakes Very Well all session long @ track events. )

so foot pressure=braking pressure, so dont take it lightly. a firm plant on the stopper pedal is what u want. what if you slip off the brake and hit more throttle? Whoooops!
