Why is everyone selling?
I agree that there are a lot of younger purchasers out there who really shouldn't be spending $30,000 on a car. I'm 45 and since I stayed single I almost have enough money to retire, yet I would never spend $30,000 on a car. When I see someone who's 25 and makes $30,000 a year mortgaging themselves like that , you have to wonder about their priorities. Throw in some expensive insurance and before they know it they're in too deep.
Some people just get bored with anything they buy. The newness wears off. Some mod the car, get used to it, sell it and move on to other projects.
You can get yourself into trouble very easy with this car, especially when modded. It subliminally tells you to drive fast and make an *** out of yourself on the freeway. No tix yet, but I have to practice restraint when driving and short shift and not go 20 psi every gear.

i have close to 6k worth of mods that im selling. which i spent about 10k on
hell I just sold my formula to buy a more practical car...the Evo
. In all honesty, I'm growing up and need more cargo room, the ability to have more than 1 passenger, I live in the northeast so awd is great, but I wanted it to be a car I could mod and beat up on the weekend.
glad I didn't get the srt-4 or base wrx...not that they are bad cars, they just wouldn't fit my lifestyle as well as the Evo does.

As explained in the earlier posts, people are selling them for the following reasons:
Financial troubles (laid-off, insurance payments higher than the car, divorce settlements, etc.)
Seeking new ventures(starting a business, saving money to invest, purchasing a home, focusing on their education, etc.)
Got bored of it so they seek new cars(find that hard to believe since the Evo is a great car to drive)
Their girlfriends/boyfriends don't like it so they are forced to sell it to keep their significant other
And anything else that pops in my head.
I have to agree with that, and I was one of them(though I was 18, lived at home and purchased it on my own). But hey, I had my 10 months of fun so I'm ready to move on and manage my money wisely without undergoing financial hell.

I'm selling mine because it costs too much. I want to take this summer off and do something more constructive than work in the retail sector. I'm now riding my bike to school, which aside from the cold weather, is enjoyable and cost effective.
