So to break it down, you got:

Warranty....$1,500
LoJack........$ 600
GAP Ins......$ 300? (I usually purchase and not lease)
Alarm.........$ 245
P&F Seal....$ 350?
--------------------------
Total..........$ 2,995

So he basically got the car for about $1k under sticker. Many would argue that the P&F sealant is a waste of money, but overall you got a decent deal. Not great but not quite the KY Jelly deal that everyone else is referring to. Maybe you paid a little more than the absolute rock bottom price where you got a steal, but consider that that cost of good customer service.

Congratulations on the purchase and welcome to the EVO club (of which I'm not longer a part since I sold my EVO.) I would recommend that you cancel the extended service contract. Mitsu is notorious for giving you a hassle with the warranty so it may not be worth the money if it is a Mitsu extended warranty. If it's a third party warranty (i.e. Ryan, etc.) then maybe it will be worth it because once Mitsu denies your warranty work (which I'm sure they will some time in the future), you can make a claim to the extended warranty.

He said he paid 2k over sticker PLUS he bought this stuff

It should not matter how or how much you got your Evo as long as you got an Evo. If you love the car as I do this should not matter at all. Got my 04 with 10/10 power train warr, 5/60 bumper to bumper & 3/45 free maint. Congrats & enjoy.

Garbage. I've seen dealerships sell g35s with volk le37s. Ofcourse they gouged you on them but still.... Too bad no one can hold a candle to evo performance. I wish mitsu dealerships pulled their heads out of their asses and honor their warranties.

I just had a wonderful experience buying my Evo at Huntington Beach Mitsubishi and I wanted to pass the word along. I went to a few other stores and got the run a round but HB Mitsu was totally different.

Rich the sales guy was the best salesperson I have ever met with and so was the Finance guy Brian. They made the entire process very easy and confortable.

I even got to met the owner Tom who is an Evo guy as well.

I just can't stop grinning about the car and the deal so I am going to go for another ride, see ya!

Glad to hear you got a new '05! Take good care of it, I'm sure you will, and enjoy it!!

It does matter though. The only way the dealers will continue to sell at inflated prices is if people continue to buy at those prices. If nobody buys the cars with the dealer 'I did nothing for my extra few thousand' markup then the dealer will have to sell at a reasonable price.
