Question Hear BOV at low rpm but not at high rpm

In my stock 2003 evo, I hear a faint BOV sound at 2.5k RPM but not at 4.5k. Can any knowledgable EVO person explain why I don't the BOV at higher RPM?

I thought the turbo only spools after 3k.

I tried a search but I didn't find anything.

Mods, please move this to the Newb/FAQ Section if you want. I just wanted more exposure to this thread. Thanks.

Sure it's normal. The turbo is spooling, just very slowly, thus why the bov works.
