5k markup from whiteplains mitsu as well as others.. im getting mine from Yonkers Mitsu for an undesclosed price till i get my car... but all i can tell you guys now that its going to be a great deal.. if you call Yonkers Mitsubishi ask for Dennis or Todd. they moved from New Rochelle Mitsu and are giving good deals..

I picked up my Grahpite MR this Saturday for $1,000 under MSRP; $34,594 including destination. Yes, it is possible to find a dealer who will deal on the MR. They have two other MR's on their lot; another graphite and a silver. Call Des Moines Mitsubishi and ask for Jasmine (he's a guy). You don't have to pay some other dealer's outrageous markup (unless you want to).

Rollaway - not sure who you spoke to at White Plains - but that is absolutely wrong. I bought my MR there for MSRP (picked it up this past Friday with 4 miles on it) - ask for Terry (the general manager of the dealership)- he was great - no BS. I called him again yesterday to tell him of your post - he confirmed to me that they are selling w/o a markup. So if you want an MR for MSRP - call Terry!
I am not suprised about Shelton Mitsu in CT. They have always had a standard 2500 markup on all the EVOS they sell, well at least on the sticker of the window anyways. I WOULD STAY clear of shelton. THEY ARE A JOKE. They are the reasons why I will never buy another mitsu again.

I checked on the Grey MR at KarMart in Burlington, WA about a week ago and they wanted $42800 for a car with a $35594 sticker.
I told the guy he was smoking crack and left.
I suspect that they'll have it there a while at that price unless some chimp with more money than brains shows up and just HAS to have it.

If you're in the central US (or if you don't mind travel), my local Mitsu dealer (Merle Hay Mitsubishi in Des Moines, IA) has an MR in silver (they just sold the gray one...I believe to a list member). I just called them 2 minutes ago about it.
Price: $35594...$0 markup AFAIK (and they've never marked up any other EVO).
They also have a silver '04 EVO (wing, no roof), that they'd really like to move. It's been on the showroom floor since mid-May...$30594 list, but a $29k'ish offer would likely make you the owner.
Local number is 515.276.7373.

Hehehe...I'm so used to "Merle Hay Mitsu" that it's hard to make the change.
My apologies...I didn't read the entire thread before I posted. I didn't intend to duplicate what you said.
But yeah, they've never marked any EVO up. I've been thinking about the '04 since mid-March but haven't pulled the trigger.
