Finally broke it in!

Like it says, I got my '05 GSR last friday and it's now officially broken in. I'm planning an oil change as soon as I wake up. I can finally get to modding! Well, kind of.. I'd still like to ride out this warranty for a bit before I start going nuts and driving myself into an insane debt. I ran into an Audi A6 on the highway today, he revved by me and I was afraid to floor it right after I had hit 1000 miles so i meekly followed with about 3/4 throttle. He pretty much destroyed me... should this be a surprise? Oh well, I've heard enough about how this car isn't amazing on the top end so I'm not too concerned (especially considering the guy had to slow down a lot for even the widest of highway turns). Damn... speed? semi-decent warranty? what to do, what to do... I've got a few cosmetic things planned for the immediate future, but I'm still reluctant. Well, this post really doesn't have any point. Just explaining the crossroads that I'm pretty sure all of you have experienced.

good move not chasing, wait till you change your oil and get all the metal out of it, then go out destroying audis.

That must of been the 4.2L A6 or a modified turbo version, because no EVO even at 3/4 throttle should get destroyed by an Audi A6, are you sure you weren't at 1/2 throttle? Anyways congrats on your EVO purchase, don't be afraid to open her up alittle more. Look you are very lucky, I and many others wish we had an EVO, so have fun, don't drive like an old man. Cuz if you ever let somebody like me drive your car, rest assure I and others won't be driving like old men Come here Audi!!! It's On!!!

I driven a A6 2.7liter turbo before and those suckers are pretty dam fast on the highway. The Evo cant beat that car on 3/4 throttle, you need to floor it for the turbo to really kick in. The Evo is fast but it aint that fast if your not flooring it especially against another quick car.

well, to tell you the truth, i've worked so hard for this car i'm going to try my best to maintain it the best I can. especially after my last car was stolen, i'm not taking something like this for granted. i would have loved to just run after that guy, but i'm not going to throw away a $30k investment because some punk tries to pick a fight with me. Well, I just got done with the oil change, so i'm gonna go try to find him now,

On the way home tonight a older model Peugot 2 door convertible tried to get crazy with me. The funny thing is I had no idea that thing had a turbo, all I heard was his loud BOV going off behind me and next thing I knew he got ******* Whats funnier was on the way to the club on the same highway a modded lowered Honda CRV(mini suv)wanted some. Of course I showed whats up..I guess at night time he couldnt tell what kind of car was behind him, he thought my car was a Global Lancer probably. Only 50 Evo's in this country so you dont even see them around so he probably thought I had a Global Lancer with a body kit when I was behind him
