Mitsu turbo boost gauge readings MR

on my MR, the boost gauge reads 0 when the car is off but as soon as I turn on the engine the reading drops below 0 is this normaL? or is it suppose to stay at 0? btw the unit is in kg/cm2

I also switched the radio and the gauge kit so I thought maybe I messed with something or is this normal?

yes, this is normal. with the car off, you're just reading the atmospheric pressure.. being 0 on your guage. when at idle, the motor is in vaccuum, so therefore you see the negative numbers, this will aslo be the case when cruising. once it goes above 0, you are in positive "boost".

wow. im not trying to haze. but wow.
why would you start with an MR?

the gauge is in BAR so you may want to get one that easier for you to read, one in pounds. it will make your life a lot easier in the future if you plan on doing anything.
