Just installed the B&M adjustable shifter

I finally got a chance to install my B&M adjustable short throw shifter this afternoon. Took about 1 hour to complete due to the fact that I had to run to the auto parts store to get a wrench. The installation went smoothly....thanks in large part to Mike Bumbeck who has given some great advice. Thanks again Mike......and now for the verdict......

I had the shifter set up for 45% reduction and what can I say....you really notice it. It's short and precise. It's a bit "harder" to put it in first (you now use a little more force than with the stock set up). Every gear engages smoothly and it's dead on. You can fell it when it engages. Sometimes when you shift very fast you don't expect it to shift so rapidly and you end up keeping your foot on the clutch for too long. That usually dissapears after a few minutes of driving. I recommend this shifter for anyone...although it's a bit pricey.

I also installed a Blitz DTT today and that works great...except I prefer the boost to show up in pounds rather than kPa.

did you have to cut or modify anything to make it fit? I have heard when you reduce through by that much you usually have to make a minor adjustment or two to make it fit right.

I had to cut the shifter base just like Mike Bumbeck did in his tutorial. I got the shifter from www.martelbrothers.com(BMM45186 retails for $182). I also had to purchase the pivot cup from the dealer for like $16 bucks. The stock shifter has the stock pivot cup and I did not feel like cutting the shifter so I went to the dealer and got a replacement.
