My White MR ???
My White MR ???
Went to the Mitsu dealer today and they've got a white MR on the lot with no markup (yay!). I'm going down there tomorrow and seeing about trading in the ol' SRT. We'll see what happens. I caught a few pics with the cell phone for me to drool over until I go down there tomorrow:

nope, they're a dark graphite kinda color....they look great in person. The crappy cell phone cam makes them look darker than they really are. I wouldn't mind if the wheels were black though.....that'd be tight

I dunno....I've seen some posts on this forum from EVO owners who tried a roll-on with SRT-4's and didn't find it quite so funny

Seriously though, it's a fast a$$ little car man. It's got very kind torque that let's you just rip it from anywhere in the powerband. Fun as hell tooling around town for sure. And it sounds like the boobies.

We may have crossed somewhere on the srtforum.
Sorry to see you leaving from the srt-4 group.

I saw a white MR at Miller Mitsu in Van Nuys, Calif. today. The black vortex generator looks out of place.
The MSRP was $35,594, and they had about a $6,000 mark-up on the window. Assuming they will take off all the mark-up and you can buy an MR for MSRP, that's still about $10,000 more than my '04 RS (factoring in additional sales tax and license). Not worth the extra $$$.

well, I've actually wanted an EVO for years....way before SRT's ever even were thought of. I went out initially intending to buy an EVO and drove one and had a deal working and everything but I bailed at the last minute because I didn't quite wanna spend that much $$$ and settled for the SRT. It's been a fun car but I'm really wanting to get out of FWD. I still like the SRT so if I owe too much and can't trade it in I'll just keep it and start doing suspension mods to make it handle.
That would be great if you bought the MR and kept the SRT-4, I would trade in the Mazda if I were you. I know you love the handling, but believe me the MR would quickly help you to forget all about the Mazda. Hopefully everything works out for you.
Actually if your willing to have some patience you could honestly wait to trade your SRT-4 or Mazda in for the next generation EVO IX. For some reason I see the EVO IX being one of the best generations for the EVO, especially being that the EVO IX may be the last generation to use the current platform. I'm thinking that the 6 Speed will become standard across the lineup (as it is in the rest of the world) and power will be at 276 to 280HP (factory HP ratings doesn't really matter because all EVOs really make closer to 300HP anyways) and other MR specific items will become standard on the new EVO IX. Plus it's not as if you will have to wait long, the EVO IX is schedule for release just one more year, in the 2006 model year.
