I go for an 01 to 04 Z06 or maybe a 95 to 96 Porsche 993. The Elise is a possibility, but if I was in the $45,000 range I'd probably get a C6.

I vote 350Z because I own one as well as the Evo. Although admittedly not in the same performance league. My wife drives the Z, it's a little more laid back and refined than the Evo. When it came time to choose the 350Z or the G35 for my wife, we both agreed that the Z looked better and was just a little more PURE than the G35. Don't get me wrong, the G35 is still an amazing looker, but it is marketed to a much different demographic than the EVO.

Make mine a C6 Z06 please... OK, that's in a different range altogether... Make it a C6 then since I'm more about performace.

I would have to say M3 over all of the other choices. I only say this because I think that the M3 has great handling and great performance plus you also get the luxury and status factor to boot. My friend still thinks to this day that I should have got the M3 instead of the MR. But for me its not all about a status symbol its about performance, value for the $$$ you spend, build quality, and driving experience you get when driving a great all around car. Thats why I chose the Evo VIII. Now for the future coupe car that I think will be a beast Its gonna be the new 500 hp Z06 7.0 or the new Shelby Mustang Cobra with 550 hp.

Just my opinion,

Derek

The only coupe to compliment the EVO in my garage would be a blue rally pearl GC8 '98-01 2.5 RS Impreza with STI V3,4,5 engine/driveline swap. I had one with all STi goodies but an engine/tranny swap was cost prohibitive, so I sold her and got the EVO

Kind of a strange question but I'd also say the GTO. People have picked them up for low 30's out the door. It will respond to bolt-ons just as well as an evo. Looks are subjective so...
