Just realised somethin...

I just realised that countries put speed limits but not acceleration limits...which means that from a junction...you can speed off when the lights go green...its not reckless in anyway is that? It's just quick driving..as long as u stay within the speed limit...so the police cun really catch u for wheelspining can they? Or are there laws that say otherwise?

Reminds me of a time I got pulled over for "reckless acceleration." The cop didnt think me speeding off was very funny. Didnt get a ticket but I wouldnt recommend doing it.

Here in Cali they call "exhibition of speed" and they write many tickets for it. In some cities where there are anti-cruzing ordinances they will impound your car. Mostly they nail people street racing from lights or lighting up the tires, but its pretty much up to the cops discretion.

I bolted froma light once to 45mph real quick with no tire spin and didn't realize a copper was close behind me, he pulled me over and he told me next time I was going to get a speeding ticket, and a ticket for wreckless driving, AND a ticket for street racing!!? WTF?? What an A$$ hole, I didn't really think I broke a law. With the spoilers most of us have, Stupid pigs enjoy trying to get us for what they can, lets not try to give them an excuse.

in edmonton alberta you get a "stunting" ticket if your tired break traction and spin ...
so if you drop the clutch and they hear the tires squealing then = ticket.

One of my friends got pulled over for doing that. He got a warning for pulling away from a stop in an unsafe manner. He also got 3 fix it tickets for the taillights, the wing, and the exhaust. Cop said they were all illegal. He showed the cop the sales papers, brochure, and a magazine. He only had his evo for 1 day. But oh NO!!! Mr. Piggy says they are illegal and his ticket stands. He went to the state inspection and they failed him. He went to another one and they passed his car. The inspector laughed when he explained what happened and told my friend he gets at least 2 evos a week for the same violations. I know this wasnt just a problem in CT when evos were new.

Oh yeah, dont speed away from a stop. Its not wise. The Piggies dont see a mature individual driving a $30k+ sports car, they see a young punk who has no respect or regard for the LAW!

i have seen reckless endangerment, (people waiting to use the crosswalk when the light turned green) and reckless driving, plus if a car is next to you, then the cop could think you were racing. bottom line=if they wanna get you, they will find multiple reasons.

Yes, you can be ticketed. At least in AZ you can. Just because you did not pass the speed limit doesn't mean the police cannot give you a ticket. They will site you for reckless driving or something along that line. Therefore, I would highly recommend people not doing that.
