I agree with EVO Neil, along with the fact that it's an MR, no matter how you mod the GSR, still not the same. The 6 spd is also awesome IMHO.

If you are worried about tickets, it really doen't matter which one you will be driving.

If you can swing it, go for the MR!

MR! If your spending 30+G's what is the extra 1.5K? Tell them to keep their sun and sound package and take the 6 speed.

Def get the MR....its a limited production car and you will get a better resale vaule if you ever need to sell it. Always get the best there is so you don't regret later.

Just a word to the wise. Do not EVER EVER expect Mitsu to work on your car once you buy it. They are a "We sell the evo only" type place. I went to get my tires changed today I couldn't even pay them money to put my Advans on that I just bought. With that said I'd say get the MR if you don't expect mitsu to back anything on the car warranty or not.

Just wanted to put in some kind words about mitsu to a prospective buyer.

Thanks Mitsu your great!

Take my word for it, the leather is nice and all but i can tell you first hand, I have an 03 evo and and i just bought an MR, the MR stock vs stock is far superior, the six speed is awesome and very close ratio, and ride quality is excellent. The limited slip is standard in both which tremendously adds to the already incredible handling of the car, but all in all the MR is the S#IT IMHO.

I'm 19 too, and you said you're going to be putting 700-1400 miles a WEEK on your car? That's 36,400-72,800 a YEAR! That's a lot of miles man. That's a lot of money in maintianance (sp?). But if in the event you meant 700-1400 a MONTH, go MR, MR is super swell. You don't need the spiffy stereo and sunroof and the key fob with 9 billion buttons. The beauty of the MR is that it is a special edition that has less stuff on it. Different stuff no doubt, but most of the time less stuff (I hope that made sense)

That was in reference to what I do for a living. I drive that much a day for work not in my car. I was just saying I drive a little more than your average teen.

If you're driving the EVO that much, get the MR, for no other reason than the extra gear - no s#hit, I used to set the cruise on my 350Z at 90mph, and I'd get 25, 26 mpg...from a 3.5l V-6... with my 03 evo, I have no cruise (off-topic)... but running the interstate at 90mph, the RPM's are at 4k... and I get 20 mpg, tops... I don't even want to talk about how much I spend on gas, running the guts out of it here in town...
The six speed is the way to go, especially considering the price difference isn't insane.
The rarity of the MR will be a big plus down the line, re-sale wise too, I think.

You won't go wrong with either, my lad.
