Get the intake off the car if you have not tuned for it. It throws your MAF signal all out of wack. Most likely it's making your car very rich to compensate for the increased air flow or you could have a boost leak.

i find intakes to be of no use, i installed a jwt popcharger intake on my 350z and it stalled my car, i didn't get any whp gains..maybe like one, but driveability sucked...i would just go for a drop in filter into the stock airbox where theres no heat soak going on...when i trade in my evo in december...i'm not gonna touch the intake

Those intakes take away from low end and give it back up high RPM. It's normal I think.

But my turbo really hits when I hit 3500 RPM.

you have a leak/disconnection in the intake somewhere between the maf and the intake mani

yeh, but he's saying it's only happening on 2nd gear.

The leak don't skip gears, if it leaks on 2nd, it should leak on the rest of the gears.

I noticed similar effect after my open intake install.

But after replacing stock bov with aftermarket Forge VTA bov its much more responsive. I thing stock bov leaks.

Also, you should install a boost gauge to measure the boost.
