I believe it should be 75w 85 or 75w90 gl5 gear oil.

Mitsu does have part numbers assosciated with these gear and tranny fluids. but some dealer may not be adhearing to the strict requirements on these cars.

 

service rep at sport mitsu told me that the only oil you can put in there is gl 4 anything else they will not cover it.

 

Tranny is GL4 and the xfer case is 75 w90 or 75 w85 GL5

if your car is the yellow evo in your avatar, then I am assuming it was your car that had the trans case changed under warranty this week?

 

yeah my car is yellow but they havent replaced it yet. they have to order it. shaun said he will call me as soon as it came in. he said there shouldnt be any problem with the warranty. service dept. is pretty good. it is one of the best ones i have been to so far.

 

i got my car done yesterday. i am very satisfied with the service. they did a really good job. and fast too. i will highly recomend it to anyone. very nice and very fast service.
