Respect

I don't know if its just me, or the area I live in, but people just don't seem to repesct the EVO and they are all about the STI. I love my EVO and i know i made the correct choice buying it. I mean the STI and EVO are just about the same car. I dont really care either way what people think, i was just curious if anyone else notices the fanboys of the STI over the EVO

yeah, i've noticed that people tend to look down on my car compared to the STi. the thing you have to remember is that these are mostly/all magazine racers. honestly, i've seen one other evo since i got mine and i've seen maybe 2-3 prior to that. there are a lot of people who go out shopping and just read what's in their motortrend or autoweek.. and it happens to be that in all those magazines, the STi is quicker to 60 and in the 1/4 mile by like .1~.3 seconds.

::edit::

however, i do get thumbs up from vette's. kind of surprising, but it does put a smile on my face, haha.

In NoVA, I tend to see more STi then EVO but, always give a thumbs up to the driver. I like the STi but it is a shame to see so many.

Not when they compared with the 05 MR vs 05 STi. It clearly shows the MR wins in everything except auto climate controls

I thought the EVO RS had the quickest 0-60 at 4.4 seconds.

Maybe it's just my area, but I get a thumbs-up from STi owners when I drive around. My friend with an STi said that EVO owners and STi owners will wave as she drives past as well. She compared owning an STi to riding a motorcycle! I certainly noticed the STi owners are pretty friendly around here.

it seems that alot of the STI's I see just give the cold shoulder and floor it instantly trying to prove they have the "better" car. Maybe it's just the few that I have pulled up to while driving the evo, but I have also met a few cool *** sti owners.

i really think the STI gets the hype it gets is because the WRX was such a hit and it was the first car of its kind here.... but oh well... but i know what your saying.. everyone seems to look down on evos in pgh as well.. to some degree
