What is the difference between the adjustable and non adjustable shifter??? what is it that you adjust? and is it easy to work with?? anyone with experience with this would be great.

 

Adjustable means being able to change the throw distance of the shifter. The throw is distance between changing gears. So, you could make the distance be really small to change gears. I hope this answers your questions

 

more crap you have to buy to get the adjustable b & M short shifter. Some sorta stock retainer, so you don't cut the plastic in the shifter.

 

i don't know so much about the b&m shifter, but i just installed the lancershop.com short shifter this weekend and i like it a lot. it comes with everything you need: new shifter plate AND underhood bushings, heavy "counter weight" shift knob, and the plastic retaner piece. just not any grease.

note: i tried mine without grease and hated it...way too stiff. but now that i've greased it up it's great.

you can also use the stock shift knob, if you like, 'cus it's got threads on the shifter.
