Might be selling my WRX :(

well i have seriously been considering selling my wrx for a used 350z or an evo. did anyone on there forums convert from wrx to evo, if so how did u like the transition. I just need something faster and I dont really want to drop the money for lots of performance parts when i could just buy an evo. I test drove the 350 and it just felt to slow. but i get to testdrive the evo today and i will have my decesion. wish me luck everyone, maybe in the next couple of weeks i can have a nice black evo in my garage.

i know enough wrx -> evo converts and evo -> wrx -> evo converts that i can assume that you won't regret getting an evo. good luck!

I had a 02 wrx before I got my 05 evo and the evo by far is a better handling car than the wrx could ever be. All around it's a better car than the scooby. I think if you get one your're going to love it.

my boy converted form a 350z to a evo today. He just wanted to sell his 350 for a new silverado. I told him to take my car for a ride, he came back 10 mins later and said his buying one. Took delivery of a 20005 red evo today.

The 05 STi is much better than the 04 STi. Better steering response, better ride, and less understeer. My opinion is for you to go get a 05 evo if it's in your price range. Feels much faster due to the larger turbo.

I went from a WRX with Vishnu Stage 0, Stoptech BBK, and Adjustable STI suspension to an MR. There is no comparison. Do not spend another dime on your WRX, save that money and buy the Evo. When I gave up the WRX after it was stolen, stripped, and totaled I was mighty angry and upset. But after my initial test drive of an 03 Evo I wanted to find the thieves and thank them for getting me out of the WRX.

As long as there are no financial obstacles, I can not conceive of a reason you would regret the switch. DO IT!

there are financial reasons for getting an 05 sti or 05 evo, but finding a used evo is in my price range, and a used sti is pushing it, my dad will only let me pay cash (im 17). but it does scare me about the clutch and mitsubishi prolly going out of business, my dad wants me to get an sti but i just cant decide, the final test drive will make it or break it. any advice would be apreciated. does anyone know of any online articles i could pick up about a comparison between an sti and evo.

I drive both a heavily modified 2003 EVO and stock 2004 WRX on a regular basis. The EVO stock has a substantial performance gain over a stock WRX. Other than performance, to me the EVO has much more comfortable front seats, and a much larger back seat area for pasangers or packages. The only thing I like better in the WRX is the fact that it has cruise control Trunk space is about the same.

Later,

Keith
