I just talked to my dealer today, and we all know that the amount of evolutions that each dealership is getting is based on their CSI. The dealer that I put my deposit down at is ranked number 2 in this region that includes Colorado, Utah, and a few other states in this area. Today they told me that they received their first allocation of ONE car. The first person on their list accepted this car, which moves me to second on the waiting list, what are the chances of me actually getting a car this year?

 

Try another dealership?

 

I'd say pretty good. Mitsubishi is just throwing out a few thousand for the initial shipment, there's more on the way. If I had to guess, I'd say by May, June at the absolute latest.

 

well, I was # 6 on a list for a dealer that was allocated 5 cars. I was ready to climb a tower with a rifle, but apparently some people ahead of me passed, b/c i got my 1st choice in color and options. before I knew this tho, the dealer told me not to fret, that they would be getting 3 more in the 2nd shipment, due in mid march. stay on the list, and you'll have the 2nd evo there in march.

I wouldn't worry. I also wouldn't be surprised if they didn't bring more over than was originally planned.

 

This year (2002) your chances are nil. Next year (2003) they are quite excellent.

The initial allocation only concerns the first group of cars that are arriving in February/March, not the whole years production.
