I purchased this intake box about a week ago and the fitment/finish is great. At first I was initially worried about air flow but at 20psi, there has been no problems at all.

Unhappy

evo whiplash. for the price, i really don't want to post so please don't take offense. I purchased from sidewaysevo since he is local. Just shot him a pm. I'm not sure about there being a benefit to the snorkel, Only a dyno can tell. Theoretically the snorkel "should" bring in more air but there is still ample air inlet from around the fuse box. I think you would see a larger benefit from removing the IC spray tank because I (stating my own opinion, since others may want to argue that subject) think its pretty useless. Running some kind of "ghetto" air duct may yield better results.

to be honest, i purchased this air box to prevent water getting to the open element filter from the hood vent. So Cal has seen its fair share of rain these past months and my car doesn't spend much time in the garage.

Thank you very much for your input. I take no offence. Just good to hear from someone who has one and it seams to me that you are happy with it.

Did you speak to them about modifying it to accept the stock snout?

Yes. They said that they could make one, but the cost will be about the same as or more as the box. They wanted to keep the cost down so thats y they offered just the box.

Thats what i have been wondering because i beleive that they could just make a new top for it that would accept the stock snout. Then it would benefit from being seal away from engine heat but would also recive fresh (cooler) air.
