ARC intercooler question

I just installed this and unorthodox pipes. When i started the car this morning A LOT of white smoke came from my car. So i drive the car around the block and the smoke is so bad it is all I can see in my rearview. IT IS A LOT and I am worried.

Is this just the coating burning off, or did I **** up

Thanks in advance

well, with the bigger core intercooler, you're getting a lot colder air then the stock as well as more air that's holding it.

Is your a/f tuned after you got the intercooler? maybe you're just getting more air and your car's trying to compensate for it by adding more fuel, hence burning off more gas and air at start up, causing more exhaust gas to come out in the morning.

I'll buy that.

did you make sure there were no styrofoam packing pieces inside the pipes or intercooler that could have been sucked up and caused the smoke. The pipes and intercooler should not cause this.

Maybe there is a protective coating inside that you are burning off like exhaust parts have.

There is no protective coating that is going to burn off. Only thing would be A: you didn'r remove all the packaging peanuts. B: the added airflow is now causing your once good piston ring to see excessive blow by from the additional airflow. My guess is its going to be the first though as the second is an extreme case only.
