i thought if you get engine management or something you wouldn't need to use a boost controller... s'why i stuck with an affordable MBC...

The Evc 5 works well very smooth and holds boost nicely. Turbosmart has a nice one that is in the shape of a guage and has more features than you can believe including staged boost and 3 different screen outputs(psi, kpa and bar). Both are pricey especially the turbosmart ebc.

I agree, get a Hallman Pro MBC and call it a day. Use the money you save and get a flash.

Even cheaper, is the dejontool mbc. I have installed several of them and they hold boost perfectly without fail and it only has a cost of $50.

I absolutely love my HKS EVC V. Two settings for high and low boost, scramble boost and a sweet digital display that moniters peak boost, scramble settings, current boost pressure and some other things I'm still learning.

Price kinda sucks and the install is a beotch, but well with it IMO.
