I bought a BR air filter and......
it didnt come pre-oiled..........is this going to be a problem? or should i just install it? also this filter didnt bring an adaptor so if anybody has this product, can you please help me with the installation, it looks like it just bolts to the end of the maf. thanks
Pretty sure it just bolts on .. I've only seen pictures though. I'm not sure about the preoiled part. It could already be and not look like it. What color is the filter material?
The BR filters are pre-oiled. They don't have as much oil as the K&N ones, but that's OK. They still last forever. No adaptor? Look on the back side of it. Isn't there a chrome circular plate that has 4 holes drilled and tapped into it, along with an elongated hexagon cutout in between each of the holes? That would be your adaptor. It bolts up to the MAS.

If you are looking at the mounting points from the filter you put the mounting bracket on the lower left hand corner mounting point, if still using the stock intake pipe you will position the bracket where the shorter end is bolted to the filter and the longer end is bolted to the car, use the hole closest to the firewall of the mounting holes normally used for the gold brackets that attatch to the stock upper i/c pipe for support and hold the stock boost solenoid on. Hope this helps, best I can do with words...
