Mitsu Warranty ?

Is the factory mitsu warranty worth keeping or should i just go for the mods. my clutch went out at 11k and i have to pay for it, not covered. Is there any reason to keep it maybe for drivetrain or any manufacturers defect, or is it safe to just start modding as long as my installations are clean and the car is not downright abused. What do u guys think, warranty at only 11k or loose it?

Even if you don't mod there are dealerships that will try to void your warrenty under the pretence of owner abuse or some other bs.

Is your throw-out bearing making loud rattling noises when the clutch is depressed? Are any of your synchro's damaged? If so, try to get one of the two replaced under warranty. That way you might be able to avoid the mind blowing labor charge from the dealership to drop the transmission.

Or you could give your aftermarket plan a go.

Best of luck either way.

That was supposed to be a tree, but I guess EvoM doesn't support the pasting of ASCII.

the car is quick enough,. The stock suspension is prettyy good. Turning is not a problem. Its the straight line that evos suck at. I mean its a 4 cylinder.... You could try to sneak in a MBC, black so it blends in.

So mild tunes wont void a warranty. The clutch went out and they said it will be 1500 to replace i figure i can get a exedy twin for that and screw the warranty cause as long as i dont wreck the car the clutch is really the only thing that would go under normal wear and tear. But do mild mods like a MBC or BOV void a warranty?
