A digital camera at 15? Damn, I wish I had that when I was that age. You're right tho, he did a good job taking those pictures. Pretty good.

Are those vinyls on your tails or are they actual VII tails? Looks like vinyls to me.

The kid's got a good eye.. Encourage him to take pics at any opportunity.. He's definitely got the "Knack" to do promo photos at the least.. And definitely has the artists eye for composition, he hasn't learned "the rules" yet about taking pictures, so its easy for him to break them, and that is what makes AMAZING photos..

If he can keep his creativity, and not allow his education (learning about photography) to teach him the "right way" to do things, then he's got a future..

My biggest complaint about some forms of education is that it "Beats the creativity out of some things" it teaches through repetative excercise "The right way" to do things, but the correct way to do things is to learn the rules, and try everything you can to break them... Thats the difference between a photographer, and an artist..

That's part of the beauty of digital photography. The immediate feedback and the fact that the pictures are "free" means you can learn to develop your "eye" for composition much more quickly than with traditional photography. Eventually he'll be able to see the picture in his head before he even snaps the shot. Over time he will need to learn some of the fundamentals of photography such as exposure and focus control to enhance his creativity but right now he's free to experiment with composition without being fettered by the technical crap.
