My freind Dinesh Deheragoda just Tested the Evo VIII in Thailand. There were 4 Evo VIII in Thailand done up by Ralli Art


Specs - 285 BHP Asian version
271 - 273 US Version

They have driven the Left Hand Drive Version.

There comments : Better Handling than the Evo VII and More Powerful as well as TOP Speed is very HIGH. The Speedometer Shows 260 kmph 160 MPH /

I got the comments through Short Message Service. It said he touched 286 kmph. Now I am nost sure if he was joking or not because we they know that we are so jealous not been able to drive the Evo VIII. Only 28 were allowed.

They had 35 Laps.


Now if it is 286 for sure I will definetely Buy that Car.

The top speed thing sounds very possible.

Since those webpages with japanese specs listed the difference in fuel economy for the Evo VIII as being only 1 mpg better with the 6-speed, I'd assume they just made another strong gear at the end for a high top speed.

 

Well, all i can say is that your friends are really lucky to test drive em' Evo's....
