EVO MR dealership problems...
My friend bought a white MR about 2-3 months back and didn't think anythjing was wrong w/ it until he went to the delareship for his free oil change and stuff at 3000 miles...While he was there they noticed MASSIVE amounts of tire wear on the front 2 tires on the insides to were he almost needs new tires..They checked the alignment and found it to be WAY THE HELL OFF...They adjusted it but told him that they had to use the 04 specs b/c they didn't have the 05 MR program yet...They also told him that they couldn't get the rear in spec that time that they would have to try more next oil change so that they might have the 05 program...
When he asked about new tires they said it was all on him even though it was a manufactuers/ dealership problem that the alignment was set b4 delivery....I tols him to tell them that he spoke to a lawyer and that he will bring legal actions against them if they don't cover the tires since there is now way he could wear the inside of the tires on both fronts, and also b/c they did admit to ti being a manufactuer/dealership setup problem...
He goes back in a few weeks for the next oil change as well as the tranny and diffs, so what would be some things that he should say to get them to cover the tires or at least pay for some of them???
Also I asked to see his manual so that I could look up the stuff in his book and he said they never gave him one and also it took over 2months for them to get him his plates when the paper one last 20days....Not the best experience so far....
So any ideas?????

My '03 is doing the same, except it's on the outside of the tires. The wore prematurely compared to the rest of the tire(s). I thought this was an alignment issue so I took it to an alignment shop where I knew the people. They told me that the alignment was within spec.
I plan to get another alignment done after I replace the tires. Hopefully this time around it will be fixed.

Well overall Mitsubishi's arent the greatest cars out there, even though i beg to differ with my EVO. Over all i've had so much trouble with my evo and it driving me nuts. My car is basically stock and i rarely beat on it. You get what you pay for i guess. Oh yea and if this helps, my friend had the same problem and they fixed it, but they wouldnt cover the tires.
you will never have luck with tire
tire wear out its on the user
and he is lucky enuf the delaer ship coverd his alignmnet fees
they coudl have said he struck a curb or ran over a pot hole
