Car Sticker / vinyls.. Do it or no?
If constant ridicule mocking pointing and laughing are your favorite dish than go all out. White is a beautiful color and Evo's are to modern for hot rod flames. If you need to slap on something I think something sharper would be more befitting. I mean c'mon its a RACE CAR!!
Yah.... You need to let your gf know the deal.... MY gf as most gf's aren't really "car freaks" like use guys, there are a few that are and that's cool but most are not then again there are guys that are not, Honduh ricers are an example... Best thing to do is tell them EXACTLY what you want for the car that way they don't come home with that.
I give the list of parts the vendors and the price. That way there is no will he like this or not? Tell her to go out and get you some Spark plugs and oil filters you will always use them..... I'd much rather have those then stickers anyday.
Oh yah, Don't put them on the car.
If you must put them on then, put them on show the gf and drive straight to the car wash. "Ohh **** the car wash ripped the stickers off?!?

dont do it i put vynal on my last car and it will take you a week to get all that sticky crap off when ever you peel it off, also it will add tons of attention and I would bet money you're car either gets broke into or vandalized, and it looks ugly
I think the clincher is the Bart skateboarding on the gas cover
- I think graphics (especially flames) are OK under 3 circumstances:
1) You show your car at "real" events where you can win something for it.
2) Your car is ULTRA fast (eg. Al's 'Flaming' Dynoflash Drag evo)
3) Your car is actually sponsored (or modded) by the company whose graphics you display
