I bet its good stuff, but you'll definately need to wax your car again if you want to keep your paint in prime shape.

Poly Tetra Fluro Ethylene... Or, Plastic Tape For Everything as we used to call it. I think my Dad's hip is made of that stuff (seriously). Sounds like a good product; might have to try it. If it does work as advertised then it would be a godsend for the wheels.

lol that's nuts.

it's plastic tape for your paint? i was thinking it was silicone based, but i guess it's acrylic coating for the paint that repels dirt through static charge.

Heh, where I used to work we used the PTFE tape on screw fittings, hence the plastic tape name. It's available in many other forms other than tape. Hips used to be made out of it as well as things like bridge supports. It's commonly known as teflon. PTFE is used in things like Gore-Tex, carpet treatment, etc. It's basically a non-stick polymer which is why dirt should simply wash off.

i see, it's teflon coat for the paint. Does that make the car bullet proof? lol

but it's sweet. $47 isn't that bad with teflon included.

Here's an honest review:
http://autopia.org/forums/showthread...tar+shine+ptfe

In short, the shine is no better than a cheap wax and it doesn't last much longer than 6 months.
