WRC4ever.....

I love your car and think it would be great if you could start posting some new ideas/performance about it in a new thread.

The last one is 25 pages long and to full of none evo stuff.

First of all how much h.p. tq. does this thing have?
what is the excelleration like?
how does it drive? what did ya have to do to it to get it legal?
have you raced anyone yet? and what are some of the looks you have been getting from people?
what are your seats like? tight or loose?
so on and so on,,,,,,,,,,

Just in general lets start a new thread about your car.
Then soon we will be able to compare it with the evo 8.
I cant wait to see things heat up in here!

Thanks alot.

i don't have much time to write, it's Xmas eve

Some questions I can answer, some I cannot (I cannot answer the legal portion, it's not public knowledge, and I don't have the info).

I will try and answer the other questions some other time.

Maybe I can help with some answers, since Karl's and mine are almost identical, except for suspension. He has Ohlins. Mine is completely stock.

1. All the mags say 280hp. It probably has a little more...300

2. It's fast - 8.3 in the 1/8 mile

3. It's like driving a go-cart (if you have ever driven one)

4. Cant answer, cause we dont know

5. Have raced a couple of people, but most will not race. They know what it is.

6. Some people think its a modified Lancer....until you take off

7. The seats are awesome . I am 6'1" @ 195 and I fit perfect in them. You do not move in them when taking tsharp turns

Hope that helped.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
Victor

Like Victor said, his car is completely stock, whereas mine already has a few mods in there (check the registry for all my mods so far).

1. The car sure does NOT have the advertised 276HP from Japan. It is more like 300-310 even. I heard my car was dynoed (adjusted for crank) at 308, but until I see proof of that, that's just speculation. But seat-of-the-pants dyno sure feels like 310.

2. Acceleration is phenomenal. What really awesome about it is the fact that it does so smoothly, through EACH gear the same amount. The car pulls exactly the same through every gear, it's impressive.

3. With my Ohlins suspension, it drives much smoother than stock (mainly because they are heavily adjustable), and is EXTREMELY responsive. A very minor touch of the steering wheel, and your car is in the other lane. It can be scary if you are not careful. It really is like a go-kart.

4. Like I said previously, can't answer.

5. Haven't raced anyone per se (street or drag). I am more into time racing (Autocross) and race track events, where the car really excels.

6. At autocross events, the car is pretty much the center of attention. Many educated pple know what it is, very VERY few pple have asked me if it is a modified Lancer.

7. The seats are awesome, VERY tight, no ones believes me when I tell them they are stock. I am 6'0" 180lbs and fit perfect in them.

Merry Christmas to you all.

Very well said guys!

If I may just add, I'm fat yet I fit exactly in the seats. RECAROs are the best seats in the world....really!
