JDM Evo VIII brochure
yeah i was just refering to the pic of the STi in the evo viii brochure, they have some sort of comparison page in it about the evo and sti, i like the wrx's don't get me wrong, but that scoop just looks like some cheap aftermarket tack on from a jc whitney or jegs catalog imo
Actually, it IS a hood scoop--because he's talking about the Sti, not the Evo. I would agree that the scoop on the Sti is a little big. Maybe you could retrofit the earlier smaller scoop onto the Sti and put a front mount intercooler on there. That would make it look much better. Maybe even turn the scoop around and make it a vent.

BTW, on the hp and torque graph, what is the dotted grey line? Is that for an inconnel turbo and the blue is for the titanium? That's my best guess. Anyone who can read Japanese know?

As for translating it, I believe Japan Vehicles already did the important pieces.
What does 1410 kg work out to in pounds? I'm too lazy to work it out right now.
In regards to the drivetrain, according to 15.jpg, looks like we are getting the same drivetrain as the RS model with the 1.5WAY LSD. This is the preferred drivetrain for competition use, so for those of you whining that we are not getting in our USDM version what makes an Evo an Evo, because of the drivetrain, you are wrong. Interestingly as well is the option for AYC on the RS model, which means, if Mitsubishi offers this in the U.S. in the future, we can upgrade.
Bottom line, we are getting a reinforced for crash tests J-spec Evo VIII GSR, with the RS drivetrain. Mitsubishi is doing a great job on the Evo they are bringing us.

I wonder if we could buy the 2din so we could get a cool radio.
